Financial Models We Offer

Transitioning to solar power is an admirable and economically savvy decision for your business in the long term. Yet, before committing to this green initiative, it’s essential to understand the underlying technical aspects. When considering solar power procurement, you’ll typically encounter two market options: investing in a rooftop solar plant or entering a solar power purchase agreement (PPA). Both options offer two models: capital expenditure (CAPEX) or operating expenditure (OPEX). In this segment, we aim to facilitate an informed decision-making process by elucidating the distinctions between the two models in terms of their advantages and drawbacks, helping you determine which model aligns best with your business objectives.

CAPEX

In the Capex model, the client is responsible for investing in and establishing a solar power plant on their premises. This enables the customer to possess the system and reap its benefits over the project’s lifespan. Eligible customers may also take advantage of Accelerated Depreciation and Subsidies.

OPEX

OPEX or RESCO, is short for Operational Expenditure or Renewable Energy Service Company. Under this model you buy solar energy generated in your premises. You enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to buy electricity from us at a predetermined rate for a set duration, typically spanning 15 to 25 years.

Rooftop Solar Franchisee

As an individual or company, you are granted the permission to promote and distribute Faujee Energy products or services, leveraging its established business structure and trademark. we provide veterans the training and support to commence business in their respective area of choice.

Opex vs CAPEX Model

If reducing your electricity expenses or environmental impact is your goal, transitioning to renewable energy sources is an ideal starting point. If you’re prepared to invest upfront in owning a renewable energy facility, the EPC Model (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or CAPEX Model is the solution to fulfill your requirements.

OPEX Model
  • There is no initial investment required from the customer
  • Easily reproducible and expandable, as additional projects do not necessitate internal CAPEX authorizations.
  • Only pay for the electricity generated, with no concealed expenses.
  • 20-40% cheaper than Grid electricity Tariff
  • Zero O&M cost
  • Immediate cost savings
  • Faujee Energy assumes all performance risks and optimizes generation as revenues are solely tied to generation.
  • No tax benefit to customer
  • Regulatory approvals will be taken by Faujee Energy
CAPEX Model
  • 100% Investment by the customer
  • Usually entails a lengthy lead time for CAPEX approvals from senior management levels.
  • Only incur O&M charges post-system purchase; there are no tariffs for the solar electricity generated.
  • CAPEX covered through electricity generated.
  • O&M is undertaken by customer
  • 4-6 years for payback
  • Dedicated team needed at customer’s end to evaluate system design, installation and operation
  • Customer bears all the performance risk.
  • Customer can claim tax benefit through depreciation
